How do I get a QR code for my menu?

After you request a basic account or subscribe to a standard or premium account, please email your menu as PDF, JPEG (JPG) or PNG to

Once your Simple Mobile Menu is ready, you'll receive a x1, x2, and x12 QR codes on 8.5" x 11" size print designs, plus a scalable version to use as you see fit.

How do I scan a QR code?

iPhones with iOS 11 or higher, and Android devices with Android 9 or higher can scan QR codes using the built-in Camera app in photo mode.

  1. Open the Camera app
  2. Point the rear-facing camera at the QR code
  3. Tap the notification/banner to open the Simple Mobile Menu link
Does my QR code have to be black and white?
QR codes do not have to be the standard black and white design, you can use any colors as long as they keep a high contrast. Your QR code should have the dark color with a light color background.
My QR code is not working, what can I do?

Check the internet connection on your smartphone by opening any website.

If you can't open any website, proceed to the step that applies to you:

  1. If you're on WiFi, disable it and try your cellular connection
  2. If you're not on WiFi, try turning Airplane mode off/on

If you can open any website, verify the integrity of your QR code by scanning the digital version we sent you.

Are there any risks on using QR codes?

There is no such thing as 100% safe technology, and QR codes are no exception.

To protect your guests and minimize risks, take measures to avoid tampering of the QR code, and routinely perform audits to verify your Simple Mobile Menu URL.

Does Simple Mobile Menu have ads?
Our basic plan is Ad supported, but it can easily upgrade to any of our Ad-free plans.
How do I remove ads?
Easy, just subscribe to either our standard or premium accounts.
Can I downgrade to a basic account?
Yes, please request an account downgrade to or let your current Simple Mobile Menu subscription expire.
